Mental Health Too means having support systems that encourage nurturing connections that promote socialization and cooperation through emotional enrichment, increasing overall happiness and well-being, and preventing depression, reducing stress, and aggression, by fostering a sense of community and belonging.
As a Safety-Net Sanctuary, we take Residents when no one else can or will. There are so many to save that we need to mitigate intakes or face overload. Placing rescues before they leave the shelter, and often during transport, allows us to actively save thousands of lives that would otherwise be euthanized to make room.
Vegan Principles promulgate Compassion with subtlety. Whether someone starts small or jumps in with both feet…thay will need support. We advocate for the animals by advocating for everyone that joins the journey to a cruelty-free lifestyle; example is the highest form of advocacy.
As we promote sustainable living practices, we also foster a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all living beings, and help to create a more environmentally conscious community. Stewards make the hardest decisions to the benefit of as many as possible.

Steampunk Farms has a big goal of resolving several problems in society and culture related to animal abuse, neglect, and abandonment, as well as promoting a vegan lifestyle, sustainable stewardship, and community education. Our focus on compassionate care, shelter diversion, and animal advocacy addresses the problem of farmed animal cruelty and the lack of resources available to them in traditional animal shelters.
Additionally, the promotion of veganism and sustainable stewardship addresses the negative impact of animal agriculture on the environment, while educational workshops and community involvement opportunities foster understanding, respect, compassion, and cooperation among individuals.
Our efforts to empower individuals to embrace cruelty-free living and become responsible environmental stewards help to create a more environmentally conscious and compassionate community.

Compassionate Care: Our primary Sanctuary Purpose is an unwavering dedication to providing our residents with proper nutrition, vital veterinary care, “mental and emotional” enrichment, and opportunities to forge nurturing connections within their respective herds, flocks, packs, and clowders.
Shelter Diversion: Our primary Rescue Purpose focuses on finding suitable placement for farmed animals rescue-pulled from shelters that are often ill-equipped to facilitate adoptions for these species. We proactively intercept these animals before they face euthanasia, diverting them to foster or adoption environments when possible, and arranging sanctuary when necessary.
Advocating Veganism: We proudly Promote Vegan Principles by setting an aspirational example. Our commitment extends beyond embracing a plant-based lifestyle for ourselves; we choose veganism as a compassionate choice for the animals.
Sustainable Stewardship: We are committed to continuously exploring and implementing innovative solutions in sustainable waste management, water and energy conservation, soil-web cultivation, and closed-loop farming practices. Our goal is to strike a harmonious balance between animal welfare, environmental preservation, and community education, fostering a lasting and meaningful impact.
